Women in Tech is a career event specifically aimed at women in the tech industry, including students, graduates, and experienced professionals. The main goal of the event is to build bridges between to the participating companies and the industry as a whole – and thereby break down some of the barriers women face when it comes to working in tech. Women in Tech will do so by rethinking the traditional career fair format and focusing on female role models, motivational talks, and dialogue.

Over the course of the afternoon, there are various tracks to participate in under the themes of Software Engineering, Startup & Freelance, Cyber- and Information Security and Green Tech, in which the maritime industry, among others, participates.

“It is both exciting and relevant for Danish Maritime to be part of Women in Tech.  Here we have the opportunity to meet a lot of committed and professionally competent women who are passionate about their profession and tell about the many exciting career paths in the maritime industry. At Danish Maritime, we support initiatives that can move even more women into our industry. There is a skewed gender distribution in the industry, and we would like to change that so that we don’t miss out on the talents of the future,” says Susanne Irvang, Head of Education and Employment at Danish Maritime.
