OSK Design develops contract design for TT-Line’s new Green Ship 2.0

Danish design company OSK Design has developed the contract design for TT-Line’s new Green Ship 2.0 RoPax vessel, following the ferry operator’s announcement of the signed newbuild contract.

The approximately 240-metre-long vessel is designed to accommodate around 1,000 passengers and will feature LNG-hybrid propulsion combined with battery systems supplied by shore power. The design supports TT-Line’s decarbonisation strategy in the Baltic Sea, with strong emphasis on capacity, operational flexibility, energy efficiency, and improved passenger comfort.

Construction of the vessel will take place at China Merchants Jinling Shipyard, continuing an established collaboration that ensures continuity in quality and execution.

Green Ship 2.0 builds on the award-winning Green Ship concept previously developed by OSK Design for Nils Holgersson and her sister ship Peter Pan, currently the longest vessels in TT-Line’s fleet. In those projects, OSK Design supported TT-Line from early concept development through to final delivery, with a particular focus on environmental performance and efficient operation.

With the new Green Ship 2.0 project, OSK Design continues to contribute to the development of the next generation of more sustainable RoPax vessels, reinforcing Denmark’s strong position within maritime design and green shipping solutions.
