This year, industry association Danish Maritime is planning several initiatives targeting the Japanese market, and we are pleased to announce the first of these.

Industry association Danish Maritime, in close collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in Denmark, Asia House and Copenhagen Capacity, is proud to extend an invitation to “Navigating the Future: Japan–Denmark Maritime Dialogue,” a forum dedicated to advancing maritime cooperation between our two nations.

The forum will bring together leading Japanese companies within shipping, shipbuilding, and marine equipment (see the full list below), along with a select group of key Danish maritime stakeholders. The program will also feature pitch sessions from three innovative Danish maritime start-ups, all of which are members of our association.

Japan and Denmark both have strong maritime industries and a proud history of collaboration. Today, decarbonisation is the sector’s defining challenge. The forum will highlight decarbonisation efforts alongside green shipping technologies, alternative fuels and digital maritime solutions. Both nations have the shared strategic interest of achieving ambitious net-zero targets, and this forum is a prime opportunity for key stakeholders from the Japanese and Danish maritime ecosystems to forge deeper partnerships.
